Children’s Week – 22-30 October 2022
This year, with thanks to the generous support of City of Greater Geelong, we have two exciting Stay & Play sessions for our members to enjoy:
Saturday 22nd October 9:30 – 11am – Active Play
Explore heaps of our active play toys – from a toddler ninja circuit to ball pit – find out how you can support your child’s development of gross motor skills using toy library resources.
One of our talented members, Regan Molyneaux, who is a qualified physical education teacher and works in the gymnastics industry, will be available to guide families on ways to optimise the use of the toy library physical development equipment.
Morning tea encouraging children to ‘Eat a Rainbow’ will be provided – so bellies can be filled with plenty of energy to keep going all morning long. Read more about ‘Eat a Rainbow’ here
Also supported by Barwon Water.
Saturday 29th October 9:30 – 11am – Mindfulness
We are thrilled to welcome Kellie from Wild Child Yoga & Wellness to facilitate 3 mini yoga sessions aimed at children with adult assistance.
Bookings for these mini (20 minute) sessions are essential and participants will be strictly capped to ensure enough space for each group. Children under 5 must have an adult participant ticket booked also.
Other activities for the morning will include lots of sensory play – playdough, coloured rice and more.
